From Stroll the Streets every Friday in the summer to the great music venue in the fall and winter at Freshwater Studio in the heart of the SOBO Arts District, you will find Boyne City is alive and well with music, arts and entertainment. Boyne City’s signature summer event is Stroll the Streets which features a mix of five to eight musical groups playing throughout downtown. Stroll the Streets, started eight years ago, is held every Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. June 14 through Labor Day weekend. Another weekly summer event featuring live musical entertainment is Evenings at the Gazebo, held Wednesdays in Old City Park in downtown Boyne City. Freshwater Studio offers a wide range of outstanding music as does the Boyne Arts Collective. Both are located in the heart of downtown Boyne City in the SOBO Arts District. Boyne City High School’s Performing Arts Center is state-of-the-art facility and hosts concerts and performances throughout the year.
Boyne City’s Avalanche Preserve is a 300-acre recreation area with miles of hiking and biking trails and some of the most amazing views found anywhere in Northern Michigan. Avalanche is just one of many beautiful Boyne City parks that offer residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy nature at its best.
No matter what it is, when it comes to recreation Boyne City has it all. Boating, fishing, cycling, skiing, golf, disc golf, hiking, skating, zip lines – you will find them all here. This is nature’s playground. Whatever the season, we have a full plate of recreation opportunities for you to enjoy.
